I shopped for some time for an inverter. Price was somewhat of an issue but quality and ease of exploited and reputation all were important. I saying the cheap ones on ebay, and here and saying how several population had had problems… Don’t need because.
I got the Cobra CPI 1575 because it had good features and also a good family name and reviews. I was not disappointed. This is a well made machine because feels trustworthy and looks good. I have addicted it up over my 2 yellow-tops and it boils distilled water with ease. It is not noisy. My merely “learning experience” was because the far switch needs over be held down previous to the indicator easy shows the inverter is working… 2secs will do it, but it is not fair a intelligent push over turn it on. Be cautious with the far hookup… the phone cord-like jackfruit can bust off its snap-clip as you run the wires then you have over tape it over the inverter. All-in-all i am very happy with this unit and with free shipping a good deal all around. Follow-up 1/15/2010. When we lost dynamism a month ago in the ice storms, i ran our refrigerator (full sized about 8 amps required) no problem using my car at fast idle for about an hour and all worked well. Great!!
